Any local will tell you, Del’z Freeze may not look like much from the outside, but the line always stretches around the block. With a reputation for delicious soft serve combinations and equally friendly service, Del’z has been a go-to option for the best ice cream in Orlando for decades. Located in Melbourne, Florida just outside Orlando’s city limits, Del’z was one of the first area ice cream shops to offer soft-serve nearly 60 year ago, and they have perfected the art. Our favorite combinations include vanilla and gummy bears and vanilla and peanut butter dipped in a chocolate shell. Servings are generous, and if you’re not in the mood for ice cream, they offer thick, creamy shakes and delicious chili dogs. Disclaimer: They take cash only! Considering the size of their portions, the quality ice cream and friendly service, prices are very cheap. They’re famous for their cyclone combinations which include Oreo, Butterfinger, cookie dough (our personal favorite), Gummy Bear, and mint chocolate chip just to name a few. Fruit flavors like strawberry, blueberry, raspberry and cherry are also available. One thing that sets this ice cream joint apart? They offer almost all of their specialties in the sugar free variety, so everyone can indulge their ice cream cravings!
